Welcome Back!

Wow! It's been almost a year since my last post. It's unrealistic of me to say that I'm going to post daily but I will try to post once a week. Although I own Garnished Girl I still have a traditional full-time job, a husband, kids, and a home to take care of not to mention everything that needs to get done for Garnished Girl. But I will do my best!

So what's been going on with Garnished Girl? I've switched my website over to a new host. Make sure to check it out, www.garnishedgirl.com. I've been working on adding new items to the inventory such as bloomers, dresses, and now crayon/coloring totes. I'm currently at work so I will post a picture of a tote when I get home. If there is something you'd like to see me carry just let me know.

Well I'm going to sign off for now but I will try to post some pictures of new items later.

I'm back!! I've been sick, having serious sinus issues. I've found a combination of meds that seems to be helping. The weather where I am has been so up and down it sends my sinuses in a tailspin. Hopefully I'm on the upturn.

As for Garnished Girl I've made some new items. I have new headbands for babies and more. I Will be posting pictures soon. I've also ordered some crawlers and bloomers. I can't wait to get them!

My husband is sitting next to me being silly. He said I should make him some "Garnished Guy" items. LOL!  I'm always looking for new ideas. What would you like to see Garnished Girl make or carry?

With state testing and grading completed I can now focus on participating in some shows. My goal is to do 2 a month until crafting season is over. And of course I'll be making new items.

Well I'm going to get off of here for now. Miss Carter needs milk so I'm going to run to the store. I'll try to remember to tell you all about my new money saving passion.

No Worries

OMG! I had the worst headache last night. I went to bed as soon as hubby got home. Needless to say I'm now behind, in my old way of thinking that is. Instead of worrying about what didn't get done I'm just going to make a new plan and to be honest I haven't really thought about what I want to accomplish tonight. I'm just glad my head isn't pounding. I think my plans for tonight will be to just play it by ear. Something will be accomplished.

Well enough about me not feeling well. I think tonight I'll spotlight an item. Tonight's item will be this little girl's headband.

It can be created to fit newborns and up. Since most of my hair accessories have a girl name this one will be called, "Bryn" due to that's who the first one was made for. I plan on making several in different colors but leave the bottle cap open for personalization. What do you think? Keep your eyes open for more Bryns on my Facebook page and website.

Making A Plan

I'm in this organization consisting of wonderful artists called The Artisan Group and the other night I posted a question on Facebook about balancing working full-time, creating, and of course the home. Well I received many responses and the majority of them focused on prioritizing, making short term plans and not stressing about the home. So I'm going to take baby steps and make day to day plans instead of what I would like to accomplish with the next month or even week. So my plans for today were to take photos of all items currently listed on Facebook or my website to sort of create a catelog. Well, guess what? That's been accomplished. I just have to go pick them up from Walgreens. I think I will organize them in a scrapbook album and make comments as if I was sharing vacation photos. My other goal for today was to get a custom order tutu completed. Well, I'm sad to say that's not getting done today. Not because I don't want to, I just don't have all of the colors I need. I guess taking a trip to Hobby Lobby tomorrow will be on tomorrow's list. My last goal for today is to make a few headbands. I've started but not finished. I'm hoping to get about five done. Keep your fingers crossed! Since I'm still working on today's list, I will create tomorrow's list later.

As for the housework, it seems as though my little princess, the original Garnished Girl is sensitive to dust so I will have to figure out to best handle that one on a trial-an-error basis.

I'm Back!!!!

OK, I'm going to give this another try. My goal is to post at least twice a week. So what's new you ask? Well I've launched my website, www.garnishedgirl.com. Garnished Girl is so excited to announce that very soon RuffleButts products will be offered on the website, http://www.garnishedgirl.com/. I am currently looking into carrying some other brands and as soon as they are approved I will post that information.

What brands would you like to see Garnished Girl carry? I wold love some feedback. My ultimate goal is the make Garnished Girl a high-end online boutique where you can find everything you need whether you're shopping for a boy or girl.
